Copied and original informes which provide excellent source of description of missionaries and christianization of Indians. Establishment of new bishopric in Nuevo Santander and administration of bishorpric (Obispado) in Provincias Internas. Vassels, tribute paying towns, missions, and tithes listed in detail as well as Indians populations that inhabit adjacent regions. Establishment of new bishopric serves regions of Santander, Nueva Estremadura, Coaguila, Texas, and Nueva Philipinas. Mission details consist of dotacion, mission goods, land owned, horses and cattle owned, lists of finances and expenses. Establishment of Indian and Ladino towns, Indian gender, work distribution of Indians, many other rich details are present. (J. Acheson, March 1988)

Against indians who have stolen horses and cattle from haciendas; governor of New Mexico reports that he has been sick from his eyes and gives account of military actions against indian lipanes; series of letters reporting on good conduct of indians who have made peace with Spaniards, letters mention good treatment towards indians; report is given about problems in catching captain lipan ynx-intle who hides in the mountains; military campaign is organized to drive indian chief out of the mountains; report about indians being organized for agricultural work; report is given about raid organized against indian rebels using indian auxiliaries; comanches attacked Apaches killing some women and the indian chief; governor demonstrated his gratitude to indians for success of operations against Apaches and gives gifts to the indian auxiliaries. Series of documents dealing with gubernatorial correspondence against Indians, prisoners are taken, 32 casualties are inflicted on Indian forces including women and children; Capitancillo antel turned himself in after his Father capitancillo Chiquito was devoured by a bear; military campaign is launched against Indians who had stolen horses, actions left several soldiers killed by Indians in a prolonged battle; Lipanes surrendered and went to live at the presidios after they were offered good treatment; report is given that Indians are engaged in a controversy among themselves, situation that would favor an alliance with Spaniards; statistical chart showing number of Indians who are in peace with Spaniards, chart includes men, women and children in rancherias which are named with the name of the Indian leader. Letter recommending captain de la concha break relationship between Indian Yutas and Apaches. Notice is given about Indians willing to make peace with Spaniards and make alliance in order to revenge Indian Lipanes.
