Concerns Series of testimonies explaining how conquest of Nayarit and Santa Maria de los Angeles was accomplished by military people of the presidios of fronteras de Colotlan. Summary
Concerns Series of documents reporting on destruction inflicted by Indians upon provincias del Poniente. Charges of negligence are brought against military officials who were not doing their job in controlling Indians. Apaches have stolen and killed animals as well as vasallos in haciendas and pueblos. Complet reorganization of presidios and military personnel is suggested to stop Indians from committing more crimes. Resources and potential capacity to support inhabitants in each presidio is given and analyzed (document contains lista of presidios and their military personnel. They also include notes in which military supplies, such as gunpowder, weapons and food are listed. This documents is important because it suggest that Indians had beset and put in despair Spaniards in 1788. (M. Marroquin, may 1989)

Summary
Concerns raid against Apaches who killed two correo soldiers from presidio of Janos. Commander from San Buenaventura is promoted to captains for heroic actions carried out against Apaches. Viceroy orders to replace weapons and other items lost capotas, sables, Adargas etc.). Series of testimonies are taken from soldiers in an effort to assess the extent of the loss. Summary
Peace attempts with Indians especially Comanches and Tauayas. Tauayas arrive in peace to surrender. Comanche female prisoners involved in peace attempts; Mezieres' efforts to gain peace. Vecinos. Comanche involved in weapons commerce with French. Comanche theft of livestock from missions and vecinos. Mission Indians will be provided as auxiliaries only in case of enemy invasion of town or mission. Suggests advantages of building a fort between Guadalupe and San Marcos rivers to defend area from hostile Indians. Transfer of English castaways from English schooner to Bahia and future plans for them. Concerns use of 29 San Sabas troops for Coahuila and their return. Request for materials to build Quartel. Complaint of lack of troops. Viceroy request for and tables supplied by Ripperda on numbers, ranks and locations of troops in province. Tobar resigns; Cazorla replaces him.
