Documents concern new order from Cruillas about the new way for requesting gunpowder. Captains should include a memorial describing the ways and quantities in which gunpowder has been used. Mention that at end of every year, left over gunpowder given to soldiers who sell it. Cruillas does not approve of this. In other documents there is some mention of campaigns against Pimas and Seris. Summary
Documents concerning expedition to find route from San Diego and Monterrey; weapons are requested due to repeated Indian attacks. folio 390 unrelated. It deals with authorizing surgery on deceased pregnant women. 20 more soldiers are requested for expedition. Diary is kept on Indian populations encountered and terrain discovered. Report that some Indians have beards. Documents are in random order and basically deal with expedition to San Diego to find new connecting routes with Monterrey. (M. Marroquin. September, 1988)
