Summary
Coaguileno Indian community (37 men, 45 women, 15 muchachos) living for last seven years with Babosarigame Indians at Cinco Senores Pueblo imprisoned at Pasaje presidio to prevent them from joining their parientes, another Coaguileno group settled at Santa Rosa de Hadadores Pueblo in Coahuila, in rebellion. Santa Rosa Coaguileno attack on Parras Pueblo described. Preparations for campaign involving 80 presidial soldiers, 100 Indian auxiliaries noted. List of soldiers, Indian auxiliaries mustered at Gallo presidio included. Causa criminal instituted against Cinco Senores Coaguilenos and their Cabeza allies. Babosarigame Indians from Cinco Senores interrogated about Cinco Senores Coaguileno participation in revolt. Gobernador Alday informed that Cinco Senores Coaguilenos had not cultivated their fields and had killed their oxen because they intended to join uprising. Acoclame, Cocoyome participation in uprising noted as well. Alday finally recommends that Indian prisoners be deported a las provincias de Nueva Espana Tan distantes so they can't cause further trouble. Good summary document by Alday 0352a-0354a. This very interesting Series of documents provides reports of Indian attacks in the area of the Rio de Florida. A company of soldiers, eventually with some Indian auxilaries, is dispatched to investigate the reports and punish those responsible. A list of the soldiers (about fifty) is provided. A very detailed account, with good geographical references, is given by the officer in charge of the mission. A stomach-wrenching description of the Spaniards tortured and slain by the rebels is provided, as well as a detailed account of the encounter and capture of the rebels. (C. Needham) (1975)

Summary
The documents contain a brief summary of the recent difficulties with Indians and an account of the efforts made by the military to apprehend those responsible for the robberies and murders. Those who have been captured - mostly women and children - are to be sold into servitude for Ten years. Arrangements are made to transport these unfortunates to Mexico City. Additional testimony is provided by the Alcalde mayor. An inventory of the Indians so destined is provided, catalogued by name, age, sex, tribe and religion. (C. Needham) (1975)

Summary
Concerns campaigns against Indians; presidio of Sacramento; Indians negotiate surrender but others refuse. Petition to relocate presidio of Sacramento to Santa Rosa Valley because of better strategic location to fight the Indians. Cura Flores gives accounts of events with Indians to viceroy; report is also given about the charity from missions toward Indians (items given to the Indians include cloth and food). Cura Flores argues that Santa Rosa Valley would be a better place for new presidio. Protection is asked for missions, specially for Nadadores, Santiago de Xalisco and San Buenaventura. Mention is given about the abundant Mineral and water resources in Santa Rosa de Coahuila. (M. Marroquin, February 1989)

Summary
Documents concerning Ramon's punitive expedition against rebel Indians in Coahuila, founding of Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe de Tlaxcala, and other issues. Cuerbo de Valdes mentions death of 5 soldiers in aforementioned campaign, distribution of captive women and children to participating soldiers; requests supplies of arms and powder. Also included is fiscal's comments and suggestions, decisions of junta general concerning Coahuilan affairs which threatens hacenderos with fines should they be found guilty of mistreating Indians. Lastly, Cuerbo de Valdes' auto de Fundacion of new Pueblo of Tlaxcala colonized by Indians from Saltillo. (J. H. Ochs, December 1987)

Against indians who have stolen horses and cattle from haciendas; governor of New Mexico reports that he has been sick from his eyes and gives account of military actions against indian lipanes; series of letters reporting on good conduct of indians who have made peace with Spaniards, letters mention good treatment towards indians; report is given about problems in catching captain lipan ynx-intle who hides in the mountains; military campaign is organized to drive indian chief out of the mountains; report about indians being organized for agricultural work; report is given about raid organized against indian rebels using indian auxiliaries; comanches attacked Apaches killing some women and the indian chief; governor demonstrated his gratitude to indians for success of operations against Apaches and gives gifts to the indian auxiliaries.
