Homer Shantz Travel Notes, August 13-19, 1919
Travel notes pages 39 - 55. The expedition arrives in Cape Town on August 13. Shantz gives general notes on plants in Cape Town (most are found in the local botanical garden). He also lists the local Botanists and florists in the Cape region and their speciality. They explore Table Mountain and local vegetation in and around the surrounding areas. They also visit Groot Constantia, the Government wine farm, Hout Bay, and document some of the coastal vegetation. Photos consist of algae, vineyards, Alphen Farm, Henry Cloete's home, Atlantic coast, Hout Bay, and local vegetation.
