Castaneda transferred to compania volante of San Carlos de Parras from compania volante of Nueva Vizcaya. 2) baptismal notices of children of Castaneda Quevedo, Eugenio Fernandez 3) Campo de Alange informs Revilla Gigedo that he awarded pension of 8 pesos/month to J M Florez whose husband died in Lipanes wars. 4) M J Garibay informs virrey that she sends her shameless, bad-mannered servant to her husband for correction. Summary
Administrative documents primarily from governador Barri to virrey. Ff 20 contains interesting table of Indian hostilities from 1771-1776; lists numbers of dead and persons taken captive, ranches and haciendas depopulated, and cattle robbed from various administrative units of Nueva Vizcaya. Ff 54 contains a table of wine and aguardiente production in some jurisdictions. Many documents deal with conduct of prisoners to capital and expenses prisoners had to pay for said conduct. Teniente Yarto informed of Barri's death in February, 1784, and continues on as interim governor. August, 1784 Velazquez accepts governorship. (D. Marksz, March 1987).

Concerns military problems caused by a force of rebels made up of Apostate Indians and renegades menacing Valle de San Bartholome; includes many interesting details on rebels use of spies; size and organization of their forces (more than 1700 men); ethnic composition and origins of members of their group; their leader (Calaxtrin);their tactics and strategy; their capture and conversion of other Tarahumar Indians, including women; their arms and equipment; importance of criminals in the group; their use of Peyote to persuade captives to join rebellion; rebel bases in mountains; their use of captured livestock for meat; their commerce with barbarian Indians for arrows and hides; use of auxiliaries against rebels; population losses resulting from rebel raids; an exploration of rebels home in San Francisco mountains by balenzeula; recent presidio transfers and resulting strategic situation; recognition that rebel Tarahumaras are a serious threat to province; and viceroy's insistence on importance of new presidio line. Detailed testimony of witnesses to many murders and robberies perpetrated by Chivato and his companeros including names of victims and places they were killed. Some argument over whether Chivato was baptized. Fiscal Posada orders Chivato and companeros to Valladolio to learn catechism and be civilized under care of Davila. Notes on trouble arising from fact that missions of Purificacion, Concepcion and San Christobal are populated by newly converted Indians. (D. Marksz, February 1987)

Summary
Documents listing rights and obligations to citizens of Presas del Rey upon foundation of Villa by capitan de la Serna. Establishment of church, garrison, and other official offices. Requests by Serna to abolish residency, judgeship and sentencing surety as few people know him, he also requests title of capitan to be given to him as founder and teniente to his son Estevan, titles are approved. Priests requests money for sinodos and traveling expenses. Conde de la Sierra Gorda sends city charter, maps, titles of Solares to build houses viceroy frees Villa for Ten years payment of primicias to church. Other documents relate disturbances in town due to absence of priest. Document refers to historical event about sinodos when churches were secularized in 1734 by request of provincial of Zacatecas. Census of inhabitants with all their belongings including animals. Documents with measurements of land grants given to each family. (A. Dell'acqua, sept.1987)
