Neyra entrusted two of his slaves- a Mulata of advanced age and her one year old son- to the care of Armendariz to be transported to oro where a buyer had agreed to pay 230 pesos for the two. Armendariz wrote back a year later saying that he could only get 140 pesos for them, but due to Neyra's bad faith he wasn't going to carry the transaction through.
