Sandoval is accused of using abusive manners against his subordinates. Sandoval stole one of his subordinates' wife and kept her against her will. Soldier solicits authorities to punish governor. Response to unidentified indian hostilities; military rolls which give totals of personnel in companies in area, weapons that they possess and mission, in this case being attacks on indians of Benito, pantaleon, comoteros, mariguanes, sanaquais, and pacitas; virrey tells conde de la sierragorda that in the future he is to communicate with comandante general before he undertakes an expedition against indians; mayordomo of hacienda requests and receives troop protection after pacitas steal horses from his hacienda, once there troops encountered several indian groups in the area and recovered somne of the livestock; seeks to establish missions in area in order to help pacify indians of area and exploit mines of areas to their fullest. Summary
Contains account of campaign near Rio Grande in response to reported sighting and theft of 300 cows. Contains description of pursuit. As a result of campaign, Emparan discovers 20 murdered soldiers. Provides description of terrain and scene of raid. Emparan informs virrey and requests he recommend pensions for widows to king. Virrey requests information assuring that men died defending themselves. Provides list of soldier's names and complete testimonies of six witnesses. Witness accounts contain lengthy, detailed descriptions of battle scene including position of cadavers, bullet fragments, clothing and arms. Accounts relate probable action of soldiers and assurance that although greatly outnumbered, none fled. Ugarte signs testimonies and certifies that proper paper for autos was unavailable; use of alternate paper required due to urgency of matter. (M. Dannemiller, February 1989)

Summary
Documents present information requested by virrey concerning conditions of troops led to Lampazos by Ugalde. Contains lists of uniforms, armaments and horses. Contains also relacion regarding finance of troops and provisions to each soldier by name. Includes nine testimonies of officers of said troops testifying that there were public card Games in camps, selling of military horses was permitted and soldiers received harsh reprimands and were otherwise mistreated. Vaamonde discusses costs of mules, supplies and maintaining soldiers and asks virrey to supply these funds. Includes accounts of money spent for items sent to troops in Lampazos.(M. Summary
Documents concern the transference of a group of Meco Indians from San Luis Potosi to Mexico under the commission of Pasqual de Burgoa. Request for a doctor to attend a gravely ill Indian. Payment of expenses incurred in transportation of Indians, in the salaries paid soldiers accompanying them, and of expenses in feeding the Indians during journey. Also given are a few baptisms along the way. Especially important are a group of lists concerning the Indians and the payment of the soldiers. Folios 171-173 contains an extensive list of the salaries paid soldiers and Cavos. folio 174 contains a list of expenses in transporting and feeding of the Indians. Folios 176-177 gives a list of Indian groups and the men and women who comprise the separate groups. (P. Lenz, September 1989)

Summary
Series of autos, testimonies and certifications about the formation of a militia of 50 soldiers in real de Vallecillos. Conflict arose when some Hacendados did not want to contribute and began to have meetings to resist the tax. Document explains in detail the type of situations occurring among Hacendados and government officials (some Hacendados compromised to arm one soldier each and then withdrew the offer. (M. Summary
Series of documents concerning the formation of militias in Colotlan and surroundings in order to reduce hostile Indians, Sorrachaga and Vivanco are appointed commanders of military posts in Bolanos.
