Eventual responsibility of vecinos to take over financial support of militias, perhaps using alcabala as revenue. Shipment of supplies and weapons from Veracruz to Havana and windward isles. Sending troops to Texas and Coahuila. Ff. 216-217 report removal of cadete Bernal from Fronteras for repeated thefts; because of relationship to de Anza, lesser punishment given by stationing him in Manila. Summary
Garrido y Duran indexes letters from Loyola to virrey regarding augmentation of salaries for officers; pensions of retired officers; reports on troops' progress in Indian wars; various testimonies and documents concerning arbitrary taxation of hacenderos in provincias; augmentation of salaries for troops; suspension of chaplains, uniforms, new recruits; review of Indian hostilities (documents not present). Summary
Ugarte y Loyola reports various military and administrative with report of killing and taking prisoner several Indians to which number Echeagaray has added. Certain orders have been promulgated concerning privileges of registrants of Marina. Acknowledgement of receipt of letter concerning person to be named to substitute in intervention of extracts of reviews pertaining to troops of California. Compliance with royal ordinance of June 15, 1784 about alternative of Accidental command in Plazas, no further elaboration. Virreynato communicates to Ugarte y Loyola various administrative suitable company. Notification that ordinance has been issued concerning liquidation of investments saved in Texas and Sonora; to be reintigrated into population and friendship of Luisiana Indians. Request that administrator of tobacco send unspecified amount of tobacco monthly to Santoja to pay debt. Mangino to be in charge of mining and commerce. Notification of receipt of extracts of reviews of presidios of California. Request to return certified copy of royal title which king deemed necessary in comandancia general. Notice that it is up to royal officials to decide on substitutes to review lists of presidios of California. Diaz to receive certain amount of Matamoros' failure to support wife; surgeon Comaduran is not to receive salary prior to arrival at post. (D. J. McClelland, December 1987)

Summary
Correspondence between virreynato and Ugarte y Loyola; virreynato requests that sale of Calo's house be approved by Beregana. royal officials of Potosi demand copies of certain ordinances concerning provisions for Bexar. Virreynato remits certified copy of letter concerning Carranque's demand for financial support from her Husband Matamoros y Molina; sends salary to surgeon; refers to Bando regarding transport of fruit and seeds from Guadalaxara throughout kingdom; requests that Ugarte y Loyola publish Bando (not present) in provincias. Answer to letter of April 22, 1786 stating Ugarte y Loyola's salary is same as governor of Puebla; twenty copies (not to comandancia. Ugarte y Loyola states intent to continue direct correspondence with royal court and to send copies of correspondence to virrey. Notifies virrey that reimbursement is awaited by dragones in Puebla for their trip. (D. J. McClelland, November 1987)
