Lengthy document about removal of Ugalde from governorship of Coaguila by Caballero de Croix. Ugalde complains that without being notified of reasons for his removal he was sent to Mexico to wait decision of king; his salary was cancelled as well. He states needing money and having to sell his jewels to support himself. He requests title of brigadier and another position in New Spain or in Peru. He includes a relacion of his military background. Description of military career of his paternal and maternal relatives. Description of his military career in Europe, Africa, and America. He gives a detailed account of his military campaigns against the Apaches. Description of battles, number of soldiers involved, number of Indians killed, captured, and horses, cattle and weapons recovered from the Indians. Ugalde also includes many letters sent to him by various people congratulating him for pacifying the area.
