Villaverde informs virrey of his compliance with Rubi's orders receipt of viceregal order stipulating payment of cash wages to presidio officers, viceregal approval of appointments or dismissals of officers; makes humble request for funds (05-29-'68); acknowledges receipt of order stipulating military assistance be rendered to Cuellar (05-29-'68); reiterates need for funds (04-29-'68 & 02-04-'69); virrey acknowledges request, and states that monies will be sent promptly (06-11-'68 & 02-25-'69); Villaverde assures compliance with orders given by visitador general Galvez, requests mail be sent via Durango, not Potosi (08-31-'69); informs virrey of governor's order that Villaverde follow no mandate except governor's or virrey's, and requests virrey's response (12-30-'69); virrey states that Villaverde to follow orders given by Galvez and Cuellar (04-27-'70).
