Military personnel and civilians are sworn to testify in response to questions on; how they heard of the French trespassing the Colorado River into Spanish territory; when they first heard of it; how much land they believe the French have occupied; and what outposts or presidios the French may have built on said land (ff. 163 - 171). Ratifications (ff. 171 - 180). Indian interpreter relates French trade activity with the Indians. Spaniards describe black slave mistreatment by the French and consider their potential to become loyal Spanish subjects. Junta de guerra y hacienda considers weight of testimonies and action to be taken, if any (ff. 208 - 215). French crown has paid multilingual spies planted, which the Spaniards condemn. (E. Summary
Concerns indexes of issues addressed to viceroy, dealing with efforts to terminate Indians idolatry, military personnel, salaries, appointments, etc. Document written by Canaveral describes Indian solution of Mescal and other herbs to carry out their rites. Series of autos on the celebration of rites by nimemigua papaneleoche yore pexec tacaguia tavargec pexicg criatura y Se ha empezado a alimentar de Leche materna, Vajo de tu proteccion la pongo para que Se crie Feliz, y preserve de dano, acuerdate de la Cienega de donde Vino esta agua). Testimonies from Indians are taken regarding their religious rites. Indians describe instances of their own idolatry when interrogated I.e. where they hide their idols. Native names of religious objects such as an ornamented pot which is called tallaopa and another one called tajachi are described. Series of documents dealing with the resettlement of peaceful Mescalero Apaches. Discussion of animosity between Mescaleros and Gilenos. Other letters deal with Ugarte's dissatisfaction with Ugalde's treatment of Mescaleros. Argues that Ugalde lies with respect to many matters concerning such Indians. Letter of February 16, 1788 discussion of Ugalde's threats to Indians; Ugarte complains that Ugalde can not be controlled. Letter of January 31, 1788 discussion of Ugalde's request that all peaceful Mescaleros move to Coahuila or he will move them by force; Mescaleros are upset and some Gilenos want them to revolt against Spaniards. Mendinueta reports deceptiveness of Apaches; warns peace is fragile. Mentions that he retains Apache prisoners in order to learn language so that negotiations can reestablish peace. Virrey expresses sympathy for Apache insults. Orders Mendinueta to hold prisoners only until they have restored what they have taken. Acknowledging fragility of peace, virrey entrusts Mendinueta with reestablishment of peace on grounds that Mendinueta is most familiar and qualified to stabilize relations. (S. Gibbs, July 1987)

O'Conor also provides tables of troop composition in campaign and lists of plunder recovered.
